I’m Sam Murphy, a journalist, author and running coach based in East Sussex. As well as sharing, and commenting on, running-related science that can help us all improve performance and reduce injuries, I enjoy reflecting on how running affects my life and how life affects my running. I also dabble in other outdoor activities, including triathlon, hiking, cycling and kayaking. In 2017 I left my job at Runner’s World magazine to set up Running Forever Ltd with my husband, uber-runner Jeff Pyrah. Alongside individual and group coaching, we offer running adventures and retreats that you can read about here.
